AutoBunny alternatives

AutoBunny alternatives for used vehicle dealers

AutoBunny is built around getting your cars seen — a good website, syndication to every channel, and paid social and search run for you. Dealers who outgrow it usually do so for the same reason: the selling is handled, but the books, the ledger and the back office are still somewhere else. That is the gap Dealersip closes.

Credit where it is due

What AutoBunny does well

A comparison that only lists the other side’s faults is not worth reading. Here is what AutoBunny genuinely brings, taken from their own published material.

Their own marketplace

AutoBunny runs autobunny.com, a consumer car marketplace for Canada, alongside the dealer platform. That is exposure we simply cannot offer, and if it sends you buyers it is a real reason to choose them.

Syndication and paid marketing, run for you

One-stop syndication, Facebook Marketplace, Facebook and Instagram ads and Google Ads, with budget split across channels on your behalf. If you want the advertising handled rather than handed to you as a tool, that is a service, not just a feature.

A genuinely useful mobile app

VIN scanner and driver’s licence scanner, plus inventory and lead management from the phone. Scanning a licence instead of typing it is the kind of small thing that saves real minutes on the lot.

Canadian paperwork out of the box

Printable bills of sale, printable UCDA forms, window stickers and Carfax integration are all in their published DMS list. For an Ontario dealer, UCDA forms in the software is a practical advantage worth naming.

Why dealers start looking

Where a marketing-led platform runs out

The books are still somewhere else

A QuickBooks integration moves figures between two systems. Useful — and one is coming to Dealersip as well — but on its own it does not give you a general ledger, party balances or a Balance Sheet inside the software you sell from. When the lot and the books disagree, you are the one reconciling them.

No AI in the published feature set

Descriptions still get written by hand, review replies still get drafted at night, and nobody can ask the system a question about the business and get an answer back. Nor is there an assistant on the front of the site answering a buyer at eleven at night, in the buyer’s own language, with the offer you set up that morning. That is a lot of work that no longer has to be yours.

Cars, and only cars

Their published material is automotive. If your lot carries trucks or heavy equipment, you are fitting them into a system that was not built with them in mind — and the listing pages usually show it.

No price until you talk to someone

AutoBunny does not publish pricing; the route in is a free demo. That is a normal way to sell software, but it does mean you cannot compare cost against anyone else without booking a call first.

The honest answer

When AutoBunny is the better choice

If your problem is that not enough people see your cars, AutoBunny is aimed directly at that, and their own marketplace is something we have no equivalent for. If you want your paid social and search managed rather than handed to you, or if UCDA forms in the software matter to your Ontario operation, weigh them seriously. Dealersip is the stronger choice once selling is not the bottleneck — when you want the books, the ledger and the daily admin inside the same system as the lot, an assistant that both answers you and talks to your buyers, and a platform that treats a truck or an excavator as a first-class listing.

Common questions

Choosing between the two

The questions we hear most from dealers weighing these two against each other. If yours is missing, bring it to the demo — we would rather talk you out of it now than have you regret it later.

AutoBunny publishes a DMS section covering inventory, dashboard reporting, a VIN decoder, printable bills of sale, printable UCDA forms, window stickers, Carfax integration and a QuickBooks integration. Their strongest published emphasis is on dealer websites, inventory syndication and digital marketing. Whether that counts as a full DMS depends on how much of your back office you need inside the software.

Their published material lists a QuickBooks integration rather than accounting inside the platform. Dealersip carries genuine double-entry accounting itself: a chart of accounts, a general ledger, tax codes, party ledgers and financial statements in your country’s format. A QuickBooks integration is coming to Dealersip too, as a way to hand figures to your accountant rather than as a replacement for keeping the books. If you want your books and your lot in one system, that is the main difference between the two.

AutoBunny also runs autobunny.com, a consumer car marketplace for Canada, so a dealer using their platform gets exposure there alongside the usual channels. Dealersip does not run a marketplace. If listing on their own marketplace matters to you, that is a genuine reason to choose them.

AI is not described in AutoBunny’s published feature set, though their websites do list live chat. Dealersip includes Bella, who works in two directions: ask her a question in plain language and she answers from your live dealership data, and on your website she talks to visitors in whatever language they ask in, presenting the offers you built when a shopper looks ready to buy or asks about a deal. Dealersip also writes vehicle descriptions, blog posts and review replies, and appraises a vehicle from your camera.

AutoBunny does not publish pricing on its website and asks you to book a free demo. Dealersip publishes a price per country on its pricing pages for Canada, the United States and India.

Yes. AutoBunny’s published material is automotive — cars for Canadian buyers. Dealersip covers used cars, trucks and heavy equipment, and the inventory, website pages and appraisal all work for those. If a meaningful share of your lot is not cars, ask any vendor to show you a heavy equipment listing before you sign.

Selling is handled. What about the rest?

Thirty minutes on the books, the ledger and the daily admin — the half a marketing platform leaves you.
