AutoManager alternatives
AutoManager alternatives for used vehicle dealers
AutoManager has been doing this since the eighties, and DeskManager, WebManager and Selly together cover a great deal of ground. They are also three products, priced three ways, with your books in a fourth — QuickBooks. Dealersip is the same ground on one subscription, one database, with the accounting inside it.

What AutoManager does well
A comparison that only lists the other side’s faults is not worth reading. Here is what AutoManager genuinely brings, taken from their own published material.
A paperwork library we cannot match
More than ten thousand contracts and forms, including Reynolds and Reynolds retail installment contracts and DMV paperwork. If your state’s deal jacket has to come out of the software already built, that is a serious advantage and we will say so.
Deep in-house financing
Buy Here Pay Here and Lease Here Pay Here, related finance company support, collections automated through payment partners, and tracking for late fees, collateral protection insurance and repair charges. That is a collections desk, not a checkbox.
They publish their prices
Starting figures for the DMS, the website platform, the CRM and a bundle are all on their pricing page. Plenty of this industry hides behind a demo request, so publishing at all deserves credit — and it makes an honest comparison possible.
More than cars
Their company page names car, truck, boat, RV and even airplane dealers. Dealersip covers cars, trucks and heavy equipment. If you sell boats or recreational vehicles, they have thought about you and we have not.
Why dealers start looking
Where a three-product suite starts to cost you
Your books live in QuickBooks
DeskManager keeps a chart of accounts and pushes transactions across, which is genuinely useful — and a QuickBooks integration is coming to Dealersip too. But a sync is not a ledger. The general ledger, the party balances and the statements are in another product, on another subscription, and when the lot and the books disagree you are the one reconciling them.
Three products, three prices
DeskManager, WebManager and Selly are sold separately and start at separate prices. They integrate, and the bundle helps, but you are still assembling a stack and paying for it in pieces — before QuickBooks is added on top.
AI that writes, but does not answer
They have AI descriptions, AI-assisted Facebook ads and AI lead nurturing, and that is real. What is missing is an assistant you can put a question to. Bella answers you from live dealership data, and answers your buyers on the website at eleven at night, in whatever language they ask in.
The appraisal still asks you to grade it
Kelley Blue Book and J.D. Power / NADA valuations are integrated, which is the standard answer: type the trim, the mileage and a condition grade, get a number. Grading condition is the part that takes judgement. Dealersip reads it from your camera instead.

The honest answer
When AutoManager is the better choice
If your business runs on in-house financing and your day is collections, or if you need a maintained library of state contracts and DMV forms coming out of the software, AutoManager is built for that and we are not. The same goes if you sell boats, RVs or aircraft, or if your bookkeeper simply will not be moved off QuickBooks. Dealersip is the stronger choice when you would rather run one system than three — when you want the ledger, the website, the CRM and the daily admin in the same place as the lot, an assistant you can actually ask a question, and a website that answers your buyers instead of waiting for them to fill in a form.

Choosing between the two
The questions we hear most from dealers weighing these two against each other. If yours is missing, bring it to the demo — we would rather talk you out of it now than have you regret it later.
