Getting Started
Before diving into the full documentation, let’s first understand what Dealersip is.
You read it right. It is not Dealership, it is Dealersip. We removed the “H” because “H” stands for Hurdles, and we love removing Hurdles from your path to success.
Dealersip is a dealership management software designed with a strong focus on marketing and lead generation. It runs your inventory, your CRM and your dealership website as one connected system: a vehicle you enter once appears on your website, feeds your promotions, and the enquiries it generates come back to you as leads. Once your website is connected, Dealersip handles SEO to improve your online presence, and it manages your social media accounts and Google Business Profile so your dealership stays visible to buyers. Several additional integrations are on the way.
Was Dealersip known by other names?
Yes — in the past. Depending on the country, the same software was introduced under different brand names:
- In India it was known as Auto Planner
- In Canada it was known as Auto Monday
- In America it was known as AtoBell (pronounced Auto Bell)
- Its original name was apCrm
Oroo Inc., the parent company, has completed the global rebrand — every version is now called Dealersip. If you come across AutoPlanner, AutoMonday, AtoBell or apCrm in older material, they all refer to this same platform.
How you get your Dealersip account
A Dealersip account is set up for you with the help of the Dealersip team. A dealership comes on board in one of two ways:
- A salesperson or business development officer visits your dealership. They set the account up for you, and your login credentials are emailed to your registered email address.
- You submit an enquiry from dealersip.com. The account manager for your region gets in touch and takes it from there — demonstration, account setup and onboarding — and your login credentials are emailed to your registered email address.
Either way, your regional account manager remains your point of contact after onboarding, for anything from connecting your website to questions this manual does not answer.
Once your credentials arrive, sign in at app.dealersip.com, using the email address your credentials were sent to. After logging in you land on the Home page.
Find your way around before you start
Dealersip uses the same layout and the same style of screen in every module, so a few minutes spent on these four topics will save you hours later:
- Understanding the Software Layout — the sidebar and how to pin it, the header bar, the notification bell, the user dropdown menu, and how to switch between dealerships if you have access to more than one.
- Home — the dashboard you land on after logging in: important notices, your frequently used shortcuts, tasks that improve your website performance, and live website visitor activity.
- What is a List Page or List View? — every module opens with a list of the entries that already exist, shown either as a table or as a set of cards.
- Understanding Data Entry Screens — how every add and edit window behaves: the Save, Cancel and Reset buttons at the bottom right of the window, required fields marked with a red left border and a yellow background, and the green helper icon that explains any section.
Your first week
Work through these in order. Each step is covered in full by the topic it links to.
- Check your business details. Expand the Admin section in the sidebar and click Website Settings. Confirm your business name, telephone number, email address, postal address, logo and showroom image. Dealersip uses these details on your website, on printed QR cards, and in Google Ads and your Google Business Profile — so a mistake here shows up everywhere at once. See Website Settings.
- Add your team. Expand the Admin section in the sidebar and click Users, then click the Add New button in the top-right corner. Give everyone who will use Dealersip their own login, so that leads and activities can be assigned to a named person. A Standard User can also be restricted to only the modules they need. See Managing Users.
- Enter your first vehicle. Expand Inventory in the sidebar and click Purchase, then click the + Purchase button at the top right of the header bar. In India, enter the RC number and click Fill to pull the vehicle’s details in automatically; in other countries, use the VIN. Then open the Photos tab and upload your photographs — the first one becomes the cover image used across your website and your promotions. See Purchase.
- Promote it. Expand Marketing in the sidebar and click Promotions, then create a promotion. You choose where it should run — Facebook, your Google Business Profile, or Google Ads — let AI write the advertisement copy or write your own, select the photographs, and schedule it. See Promotions.
- Work your leads. Enquiries from your website and your promotions arrive as leads under CRM → Leads, and you can add walk-in and telephone enquiries yourself. Leads can be seen two ways, a Kanban board and a Grid view, switched using the View dropdown on the top bar. See Leads and Deals.
- Record the sale. When a deal closes, expand Inventory in the sidebar and click Sale to record it. Trade-in vehicles, sale documents and checklists are all handled here. See Sale.
- Understand what your website is doing for you. Your dealership website is not simply a listing page — it tracks buying intent, scores each visitor, and notifies you when someone is close to buying. See How the Dealership Website Works with Dealersip.
Where to get help
- The green helper icon. Almost every section of every data entry screen has a small green circular icon with a question mark beside it. Click it to see an explanation of that section without leaving the screen. See Understanding Data Entry Screens.
- Bella, your AI assistant. Ask Bella a question in your own words and she will answer from the software’s own knowledge. Open her using the Ask Bella button on the Meet Bella card on the Home page. See Bella Virtual Assistant.
- The Support Center. To raise a ticket, report a problem or request a new feature, use the Support Center card on the Home page, or the Support Center link in the user dropdown menu at the top right of the header bar.
- FAQ — short answers to the questions new users ask most often.
- How Dealersip notifies you — where alerts appear, so that you do not miss a high-intent visitor.
- Your account manager, for anything commercial, or anything to do with your website or your domain.
